This could be due to the pressure inside the inflatable being too low, causing the fan to overheat. The fan will stop working due to the electronic safety cutout that protects the motor from damage. The user should ensure that there are no tears in the unit and that the air release zips are closed.
The capacitor may need to be replaced please call Gibbons Fans stating the serial number of the fan.
If the blower is brand new then please ensure that the oil level is filled to the maximum level. Our petrol engines include a safety oil sensor and therefore if the oil level is at too low a level the engine will not start.
It should be noted that the engine should be serviced regularly after each 100 hours of use. To facilitate this please call your local Briggs and Stratton dealer. Details of your nearest dealer can be obtained from Gibbons Fans.
The generator will need to have the correct KVA rating. The minimum requirements for a 1.1Kw fan is 3KVA. If more than one fan is attached to the generator then the KVA rating would need to increase. If there are two fans they must be started separately to reduce initial current draw.
If your fan has been damaged in any way then please call Gibbons Fans (stating your serial number), we will then arrange to collect the fan (U.K. only) and inspect the damage and inform you of the action to be taken.
We have a full inventory of spare parts for all our fans, however for some parts to be replaced the fan unit will have to be sent back to Gibbons Fans for service.
Please check if the inflatable has a tear and that the stitching is correct. If the inflatable has any way deteriorated through age, a more powerful fan maybe required to inflate the inflatable to its correct pressure due to greater air leakage.
